GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 "Katinapay Mo sa Lansangan" A Monthly Bread Distribution Program By: TLP Jerlon Romualdo Amid the relentless hum of city traffic and the scorching heat of the tropical sun, a quiet revolution of kindness is unfolding on the streets. Enter "Ang Katinapay Mo sa Lansangan" (Your Bread Companion on the Streets)—a heartwarming monthly community initiative dedicated to honoring the unsung heroes of our daily commutes. Whether battling exhaust fumes or sudden downpours, the city's tireless workforce—from traffic enforcers and street sweepers to delivery riders, jeepney drivers, vendors, and construction workers—form the backbone of our urban life. Yet, their daily sacrifices often go unnoticed. Recognizing this, the program steps in to bridge the gap with a simple yet profound gesture: handing out freshly baked bread. More than just a quick bite to eat, each loaf serves as a tangible symbol of gratitude, a beacon of hope, and a warm reminder that their relentless hard work is deeply valued by the community. Spearheaded by Club President TLP Jerlon Romualdo, alongside dedicated club members and passionate volunteers, this grassroots endeavor brings humanity back to the concrete jungle. True to its guiding ethos of "Sharing Bread, Spreading Hope," the project proves that small, intentional acts of compassion have the power to create a lasting, meaningful impact, one neighborhood at a time.
